This is my very first house-like design. Our task was to design a custom dwelling in a narrow section of an old shipyard’s truss structure in Budapest. Very challenging.

The main element of my concept is a silver cube – a rehearsal studio for drum practice – integrated in the structure.

All the other rooms – such as a bathroom, living room or the one for sleeping – are situated in the different sections of the truss-piece.

The whole structure is covered with copper plates except the studio which is of steel sandwich panels.

It is important to mention that all members of the studio got one of the truss-sections to work with, so my loft has neighbours on both sides!
